The 2007 Hamiltn 5K Race and Fun Run took place on Sunday 19th August at the Palace Grounds Hamilton and this year included a Junior 1K Fun Run for 10-14 year olds.
180+ runners ran in the 5K event and 40+ in the inaugural 1K run, both of which resulted in great times (see below).
The Hamilton 5K Race & Fun run is now in it's 3rd year!.
The 2007 event was held at Hamilton Palace Grounds on Sunday 19th August and all proceeds from the event will go to the 2 nominated charities - Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust.
The Top 3 in each Category were as follows:-
Girls 1k - Winner Lauren Mooney - 2nd Mhairi Hendry - 3rd Mhairi Speedie
Boys 1k - Winner Luke Foss - 2nd Connor Curely - 3rd Craig Mooney
Womens 5k - Winner Allison Simpson - 2nd Kara Tait - 3rd Sarah Munn
Mens 5k - Winner Robert Gilroy - 2nd Alex Robertson - 3rd Robert Soutar
